Spring Clothes: A (Visual) Love Letter

Perhaps I feel this way every year, however, this winter has felt particularly long and cold.
I'm ready to shrug off this heavy winter wardrobe and slip into something more exciting!

Spring in New York is so wonderfully romantic and thrilling.
In fantasy land I'm already in Spring and here is what I want to wear:

Travel Log: Puerto Rico

For New Years, we spent a week in sunny, gorgeous Puerto Rico.
It was my first time on the island and I was very impressed.

I cannot believe that 2015 has already arrived!
2014 was a wonderful year, but I really look forward to all that is to come.
I wish you health, happiness and peace.

One Crazy Year

It has been a while since I last wrote and I always end up really missing writing when that is the case.  Wedding planning, work, and a few other projects have all been making life a little hectic over the past year, however, I do plan to come back to share what's been going on.

For now, I wish you a very happy holiday season from us!

See you soon!

12 in 2014

As 2014 steadfastly approaches I have been trying to focus on coming up with a great resolution for the new year.  It’s difficult to pinpoint one singular thing that I want to work on, so after mulling over some ideas with my friend ARS, I came up with a list of goals for each month.

January: Unclutter the apartment and get rid of the things we no longer use, need, or want.
February: Save as much money as possible.
March: Study a language a little bit each day.
April: Start a running routine to get back up to 5 miles.
May: Meditate 3 times per week.
June: Eat more healthful foods.
July: Read at least 5 new books.
August: Drink more water daily.
September: Go for a long walk around the city at least once week.
October: Visit or catch up with 4 people I have not seen in a while.
November: Try a new recipe once a week.
December: Try a new craft or project once a week.

Some goals are simple and easy to achieve, while others may take a little more effort.  However, I think that having a new thing to work toward each month will be a great motivator.

Now it's your turn: Create your own 12 in 2014 list and share with me what you have come up with!

See what other's have come up with:

Back From Hiatus

It has been a while since I have last written and I would like to apologize for leaving without so much as an explanation.  A few months ago another blogger, who already had quite a large following under another name, decided to change her blog’s name to House of Harper.  There was a whole mess that I realized resulted from this (you couldn’t find this page if you searched for it and, thus, all of my traffic went straight to her) and I was honestly just very upset and discouraged by the way things played out.  It’s scary to think that, after putting a ton of time and effort into something you’re passionate about, someone can essentially just swoop in and ruin your hard work.  I was flattered that my idea was good enough to steal but also very, very upset.  And so, instead of commencing forward I decided to throw up my hands and take a break to think about it all.

So, here we are four months later.  I haven’t come any closer to a decision on how to handle this, but I really miss having this space as a place to share my ideas, inspiration, and life.  So please forgive me for my absence, but I’m back!

Things will definitely be changing around here, but I do hope you continue to stop by for a little escape from your day!

All the best,

Dinner Club Table

This past Tuesday marked the first of many Dinner Club evenings to come.
A bunch of us girls decided to meet once a month for a potluck dinner and we had a ball.

I hosted this month's dinner at my place.
I wanted to share some photos of the setting because it was a great use of a small space.
I recently purchased a folding table with adjustable height (which we store under the bed)
which I adorned with a simple white tablecloth.  This is such a great option for those who
love to entertain, yet just don't have the space for a dining table.

Dinner was fantastic; everyone brought something scrumptious
and it was marvelous to catch up with everyone!

Happy Labor Day!

Please excuse the lack of posts, as of late.
I have been working on some technical and ethical kinks
with Bloglovin' that will hopefully resolved soon.

I wish you and yours a wonderful and relaxing Labor Day!
